Join us - humans, dogs, cats, and fish of Spokane - on Sunday, October 6th for the always fun Blessing of the Animals service.
8:00 a.m. - spoken liturgy
10:30 a.m. - liturgy with music
At St. Andrew's, we are marking the Feast of St. Francis with a special morning to appreciate and bless our furry friends! All are welcome! This service is the conclusion of our creation-themed liturgy season.
Francis of Assisi, a thirteenth century friar who founded the Franciscan Order, was known for eschewing material possessions in his life. Franciscan spirituality is also characterized by an attitude of reverence for God in all things and a deep appreciation for the goodness of creation as a reflection of God's love. According to St. Francis, all creatures are worthy of our respect as sisters and brothers. So, this Sunday, all creatures are welcome at St. Andrew's!
Bring a picture of your special companion if you prefer not to bring them to church. Coffee hour follows the 8:00 am service and lunch follows the 10:30 service!
